Thursday, August 9th - “Gray” page added to the TF2 Blog as a link in the form of potentially a blood splotch on the “Free to Play” banner.


Could the update be September 2nd? Eh, probably not. That’s a Sunday, Valve doesn’t have that much of a history for updating on the weekends.

A user on SPUF pointed out this page. He went on to say:

“There is a sand covered area in the testament of Zepheniah Mann,” (insert link) “where he says that he leaves all his (money I suppose) to (Gray I suppose) and a secret thing or something. Thats why Gray was able to collect and investigate Australium, and get a life extending machine for himself, and now he is back to get rid of his brothers and get the land for himself (I suppose).

Now, this guys supposes a lot, but in a way, it seems potentially possible.

Friday, August 10th - In an undocumented patch, some “Carrier Tanks” Were added to the skyboxes of 2fort, Badwater, Doublecross, and Granary.





Saturday, August 11th - Another blood splotch was added to the TF2 Blog, this time above the “F” on the Free to Play banner and linking to a picture of Zephaniah Mann’s will. This picture is different than the first one, in that the part that was covered by sand is now revealed!

“Lastly, to most trusted Elizabeth I leave the entirety of my “miracle” gravel cache uncovered with Barnabus during a trip to Terra Australis. My weakling son Gray resurfaced last year and has threatened to blackmail me for it. I give the gravel to you and swear you to utmost secrecy in its keeping.”

The capacitor was also changed into a misc. item. Users on reddit report the fact that it doesn’t change their model when worn, and several class-specific hashes were added to the item schema.

Shortly afterwards, the capacitors were no longer wearable. At the time however, Equipping the Capacitor and high-fiving someone will produce text in the chat box. Each player can see three unique messages, depending on the class of the other person. Some examples:
Medic says: Did you hear the story from 1252 where Destruction PDA, Buzz Killer, Something Special for Someone Special, Ubersaw, Cowardly Mound, Crate, Buzz Killer, Frying Pan, and the Administrator walked into a bar?
Pyro says: Did you hear the story from 1268 where Cadaver’s Cranium, Hound Dog, Lollichop, Waxy Wayfinder, Triad Gangster, Tam O’ Shanter, Dead Ringer, Wrap Battler, and the Administrator walked into a bar?

Sunday, August 12th - While I missed this happen, apparently the high five taunts were similar to the banana error, and when pieced together generated a QR code linking to this image. A crafting recipe? Yes. Well, somebody crafted all these things together, and instead of receiving an item, we were greeted with this. A link. When followed lead to a new comic. Blood Brothers.
